Life as a Mediterranean dog.
Toscana is an active dog, no doubt in that. While she has no problem to lay down and just chill if needed, she much rather will just explore, play or train. Living in the Mediterranean does set some restrictions for active dog like her. It is easy to overheat or get dehydrated if not careful enough.
Some points to follow when in warmer climate:
- always have fresh water in hand when no river/streams in present
- avoid mid-day long walks
- replace hiking with swimming
- provide shade
- monitor your dog for any changes
